Ostrovsky Family Photos
The
note, in my mother's handwriting, on the back of the photo
to the right says that these folks are Morris (left) and Harry
(right) Ostrow, and one of their sisters - Fega (Fanny), Eta
(Edys?) or Sonia. There is another note on the back, this one
in Russian, which has a date of 1886 and says (in Russian)
'Ostrovsky' and something else I can't make out.
According to mom, the photo on the left is of Edys Ostrovski
and her brother Harry. It was taken in Kiev, Ukraine.
Labe and Rachel Leah did have a son named Harry, born in 1874.
They had a daughter named Eta, who may have changed her name
when she emigrated.
Harry looks very much like the young
version of other photos I have of him.
However, I cannot identify either of
them with any certainty.
