Here's an original composition using shapes. Unfortunately, I spent a lot of time messing with layers and forgot that I was supposed to be messing around with Symbols and the library. I went back and got it partly organized in the library. Specifically, I changed the leaf shape to a symbol, then duplicated that for use in the image. I really didn't want to start all over with the flowers! I did, however, only create a single flower, copied it, resized, skewed, etc.

I didn't use a lot of shapes. The background is a rectangle with a gradient fill. My second attempt at arrowheads came out somewhat better than the first, but they're slightly lopsided. I used the transform tool a lot in this and the previous image. In this one, I used it on the lines to resize and rotate instances. I didn't resize or skew the links, but did rotate them to see how many different angles I could get without having to do another sliced version. |
