Unit 1 - The Photoshop Interface & Playing with Pictures
in Photoshop
We had a wide variety of objectives for our first week of
Photoshop 7.0, from getting acquainted with our fellow learners to
going a bit wild (in my case, anyhow) with the new Liquify Filter.
Between the two, we 'got acquainted' with the Photoshop Help files,
learned the difference between bitmaps and vector graphics, scanning
and/or importing images, and image size and resolution.
The most fun, of course, was playing with the Liquify Filter. While
it certainly can be used as a wonderful tool for making subtle corrections/alterations
in photos, I had fun playing. My images can be seen on this page, with
additional 'experiments' on the next two pages (link at bottom).
